Mother Tongue

As part of this immersive installation, Caroline prepared a selection of composed sound files and field recordings from the natural environment, which were transformed into a continuously evolving soundscape using spatial audio tools. Through this approach, the work explores kinetics, sound, and installation as spatial, embodied, and emotional practices—inviting audiences into a contemplative, multisensory dialogue with the natural world.

In collaboration with design researcher Adela Glyn-Davies, 3D animations created by Maddie Arnot and Caroline were projected throughout the space. These visuals responded to audience interaction, made possible through the use of movement sensors that allowed participants to influence and alter the projected imagery in real time. Zsombor Szoke employed experimental lighting techniques connecting the elements within the installation space.
